We start with whatever you have. A layout you've sketched? Plans you found but want to change? Pictures and ideas?

Through in-depth meetings, a guided questionnaire, and resources in the industry, we team together to develop the perfect custom home for you. Our service includes three plan revisions in which we work through your concerns and wish-list to get it just right.

We provide an easy to read layout presentation and 3D renderings of the exterior and even 360° dynamic video while we work through the design revision process. We then finish with detailed construction plans that can be provided to any builder for a competitive bid.

This is your home and we strive to bring together your custom layout and desired style to develop the perfect home for your family. In-depth face to face meetings and/or zoom meetings are utilized throughout the design process.

Code Compliance & Engineering

Our construction drawings meet International Building Codes. Any additional local ordinances or requirements should be presented prior to the beginning of the process (set backs, minimum sq. ftg., exterior finishes restrictions, etc.)

We are not licensed as Engineers or Architects and therefore can not "stamp" drawings. We can furnish our drawings to a designated professional if needed. In most instances for residential, this is not required.

Our Lead Designer/Owner

With over twenty years in the construction industry, Chrisha Potter brings experience to the design table. While many years were in the commercial realm, the personal experience of designing her own home and working with a local residential builder opened the door for her to pursue her passion and led to her transition to residential design in early 2017 with Great House Plans.

Chrisha has a unique skill set of construction acumen, a feminine and modern eye for design, and years of relationship building with contractors which culminates into a complete package, perfect for residential home design.

Chrisha had the opportunity to become owner in 2019 and in 2022 Great House Plans LLC rebranded as a DBA - Potter Plans.

PRICING

Just like your design, our pricing will be customized based on your project's type/size/complexity and standard/optional services.

Price for our services varies WIDELY - ranging between $.50 to $1.35 per sq. ft.
Remodels are based on an hourly basis of $85.00 per hour.
Commercial drafting service pricing on request.
